Disclosure: I received a holiday review package from the author.  All opinions are mine.

There are so many feelings I have when I sit down here to tell you about the book, A Duck Named Goose by Amber Nieves, affectionately known as Mama Picky Pants (thanks to her little boy). The illustrations, by Danyol Murphy, really add to the story as well.  Fun and colorful page after page that is sure to capture the attention of any child.

I think it is absolutely wonderful when a love of reading and words are instilled in a child. I remember being seven years old and taking a paper grocery bag sized bag of books home from the library, only to return when I was done, and fill it back up again!

Even more so, is that this book is available to double the audience. It’s perfect for dual language families and households. I also love that it teaches a lesson. Personally, it spoke about needing to be independent, true to yourself and who you are.

Check out this video from Amber:

Mama Picky Pants crafts realistic stories that awaken the imagination. With every page turn, relatable lessons bravely surface out of rich language, nurturing real and diverse stories closer to the hearts of readers everywhere. Each book sale gives back 20% to children’s programs!
